On what was a big football recruiting weekend for the University of Virginia, Buford (GA) senior fullback/linebacker Nathan Staub was the only official visitor. The 6’2″, 224-pound took an unofficial visit to Virginia in the summer, so this latest experience provided an opportunity for him to get to know the players better. He came away impressed by the players and with a good feeling about Coach London’s program.

“It was really good,” Staub said of the official visit experience. “I got to hang out with the players, which is the big thing, and of course it was an incredible game. I enjoyed it, and I think my parents had a really good time too.”

Staub’s host was freshman offensive guard Jay Whitmire .

“I hung out with him and a lot of his friends,” Staub said. “I made the rounds and got to see what life at UVa is like.”
