Game Nuggets

  • Maryland owns a 42-31-2 record in the series, including a 20-12-2 advantage in College Park. However, UVa has won two straight games as the visitors: 20-9 in 2009 and 18-17 in 2007.
  • The Cavaliers have faced the Terrapins every season since 1957, the second-longest streak for the Hoos behind UNC, which dates back to 1910. The two teams have met 75 times, making Maryland the fourth most common opponent for UVa.
  • Virginia has held Maryland to 380 yards or less 17 times since 1988 and has won 15 of those games.
  • Maryland snapped a three-game losing streak to Virginia with a 42-23 win last season in Charlottesville. The Terps are looking to snap a four-game losing skid this season after starting 2-2.
  • Virginia has lost 13 straight games in November, dating back to the 48-0 Orange Bowl closeout contest on Nov. 10, 2007.

Cam Johnson and the Cavaliers eye another ACC road win this weekend.
