Central Bucks South (Warrington, PA) likes to play fast on offense, but last week’s exhibition was ridiculous. The Titans scored 20 points in the final three minutes of the first half in a 61-40 win over Central Bucks East. The victory was a big one as quarterback Matt Johns and company clinched a playoff berth.
“I had a flare pass on one play, and our running back made a great play. He broke across the field and scored,” Johns said, recalling the 3-minute stretch. “We made them have a quick three-and-out. They threw three consecutive times. We got the ball back, and two plays later I threw another long touchdown pass. We made them have another three-and-out. With 29 seconds left, I threw my fourth touchdown pass of the half. I stepped up, rolled out, and heaved one to the back of the end zone. One of our top receivers ran under it and made the play.”
