Kris Burd and the UVa receivers will face a lot of man-to-man coverage.

Some things immediately come to mind when you think of Southeastern Conference football teams like Auburn, Virginia’s opponent in this weekend’s Chick-fil-A Bowl. Speed, of course, tops the list. Things like great defense, relentless pass rushers, explosive offensive plays, strong running backs, and more aren’t far behind. The Tigers certainly feature a lot of those elements too. Let’s take a closer look at what else to watch for in the Auburn Watch List.

Quarters and Cover 2. Statistically, the Auburn defense allowed 194.8 rushing yards and 211.0 passing yards per game in the regular season. Defeating the Tigers won’t be as simple as lining up and running the football down their throats, though. Virginia, as always, will need to present a balanced attack with its pro-style offense in order to move the ball effectively in the bowl game.
