Hoo Preview 2012: Rocco Remains Confident

UVa’s Michael Rocco started all 13 games in 2011.

Since his arrival at Virginia the Mike London mantra has been clear – faith, family and football. “My priorities, how I run the program are: Faith, Family and Football,” London told the Charlottesville Daily Progress back in November 2011. For the Hoos, quarterback Michael Rocco may well serve as the embodiment of that philosophy.

“I consider myself a family man,” says Rocco. “I love being around my family and I have great friends that I consider family. Ultimately my family has taught me to give glory to God in everything that I do. Christianity is a big part of my family, being the best example I can be, being an example to my teammates on and off the field and being a man of character. I’m trying to be the best person I can be and hopefully my teammates see that. I love to compete and to give glory to God for it.”
