Academy of Richmond County (Augusta, GA) offensive tackle William Jones plans to take an official visit to the University of Virginia on the weekend of January 18-20. This will be the 6’7″, 300-pound senior’s first experience in Charlottesville, and he’s looking forward to it.

“Everyone knows Virginia is a top notch school. It’s ACC, so it’s one of the big conferences. I’m excited to go up there and see what the school is about,” Jones said.

The Contact Period began on November 25. Roughly a week later, Jones claims UVa came through with a scholarship offer.

“A couple of weeks ago, one of the coaches came down and watched a workout and watched me do some drills. After the drills, they called me up and said they wanted to offer. It all happened pretty quickly,” recalled Jones.
