Sabre Scoop

Less than four weeks remain until National Signing Day. UVa filled most of its class of 2013 by the end of the summer, but there has been plenty of activity of late. This weekend will certainly be busy, as the Virginia football program is expecting all of its class of 2013 commitments in town for official visits.

We begin this Sabre Scoop with a recap of Sunday’s recruiting action, which included an in-state commitment.

Recent Developments

Around 12:30 on Sunday afternoon, Virginia head coach Mike London called Monacan (Richmond, VA) senior Connor Wingo-Reeves and offered him a scholarship. It didn’t take long for the 6’3″, 220-pound prospect to accept, and he is now a member of UVa’s 2013 recruiting class. Wingo-Reeves, a potential linebacker/fullback for the Cavaliers, originally committed to Temple and also had an offer from Navy.
