It is no secret that I am a big Cincinnati Reds fan and, as a Reds fan, I always enjoyed the old days of catching spring training games in Florida (back when the Reds were in Florida for spring training). During spring training, after all, all things still were possible. I suppose the same is true right after Signing Day, when a program gains a flood of new talent. Of course, to get the most out of that talent, the staff needs to slot the new players in the right positions … and that is where I come in, happily – heck, joyfully – offering advice that is worth exactly … well … okay, not so much. But I love offering it anyway. So here we go …

George Adeosun – OG. It did not take long for the influence of Tom O’Brien to be seen in Charlottesville, as the UVa staff made it a priority to finish off the recruiting class with some help for the offensive line. George Adeosun was a coup on Signing Day, a talented offensive line recruit who saw a flood of late offers. I expect Adeosun to begin his training at offensive tackle, which I think makes a lot of sense (similar to starting most defensive backs at cornerback, even if there is a high likelihood the player will end up at safety). I would not be shocked if Adeosun was able to stay at tackle, with right tackle being a definite possibility. But in the end, I think it is more likely than not that Adeosun moves inside to offensive guard.
