Q&A With London Perrantes

London Perrantes

Mission League Player of the Year. John Wooden Award Winner for High School Player of the Year (Division IV). LA Times All-Star. The accolades Crespi (Carmelite, CA) senior point guard London Perrantes earned following the 2012/2013 season have been numerous. They reflect the big-time senior season the 6’1″, 180-pound point guard enjoyed as he guided the Celts to a 23-10 overall record that included a second place finish in the Mission League.

Heading into the 2012/2013 season, Crespi head coach Russell White made it clear he needed Perrantes, who was entering his fourth year as a starter on the varsity level, to be more of a scorer. The University of Virginia-bound standout responded by averaging 19.7 points per contest, an improvement of over three points from his junior season average. Some of his most stellar performances came in the Proviso West Tournament, which was played in Chicago (IL) from December 26 through the 31. During that stretch, Perrantes drained 64-percent of his 3s while averaging 25 points per game. Crespi dropped the first game of the tournament before winning four straight to capture the Consolation bracket.
