Darius Jennings tied for the team lead with 5 TD catches in 2012.

For a player that finished in the team’s top two spots in nearly every major receiving category last season, there hasn’t been much hype around Darius Jennings this offseason. He led the team in receiving yards with 568 in 2012. Jennings also tied Jake McGee for the team lead with 5 touchdown catches. Plus, he finished second to Perry Jones in receptions 49-48.

In other words, outside of yards per receptions, Jennings was arguably the Hoos’ best receiver last fall. Typically, that sort of production as a sophomore will garner all sorts of hype from the fan base. That’s OK, though. Jennings said his year was good, not spectacular by his standards anyway.
