Fisher-Davis Set To Make First Official Visit

Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, N.C.) senior Matthew Fisher-Davis has a reputation for being a 3-point marksman. Development in other areas this offseason helped the 6’5″ shooting guard reach major Division 1 recruit status, as this summer he earned scholarship offers from Georgia, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Wake Forest. UNC is giving Fisher-Davis a serious look as well.

“He shoots the ball really, really well,” Charlotte Christian head coach Shonn Brown said, beginning to describe his standout senior’s game. “He has instincts and IQ for the game. He has a lot of tools in his tool box.”

Fisher-Davis “fell in love with the 3-point stuff, but I told him he could get that any time of the day,” Brown said. “He started investing in his midrange game. We taught him to try to rip and beat people off the dribble. In high school, most kids either want to shoot 3s or get to the rim. We want to develop all aspects in our kids. We got him to work on some stuff. He put in the time. This summer he really listened, and coaches saw him at his best.”

“I feel like I’m more consistent,” Fisher-Davis said of his improvements. “In the April period, I started getting more consistent, not just with scoring but with every other aspect of my game.”
