Confirmed Weekend Visitors

The Virginia men’s basketball program is hosting Montrose Christian (Rockville, MD) combo guard Nate Mason and Mountain View (Mesa, AZ) center Payton Dastrup on official visits. Those visits will conclude on Sunday.

On the football recruiting front, a handful of unofficial visitors were in Scott Stadium to watch Virginia’s out-of-conference contest against Ball State. TheSabre.com confirmed that quarterback Corwin Cutler , who signed with the Hoos as a senior out of Ocean Lakes High School (Va. Beach, VA) in the class of 2013, was in attendance. The 6’4″, 185-pound signal caller is currently in a postgraduate year at Fork Union. He remains solid in his commitment to Virginia, but whether he enrolls in January of 2014 or the summer of 2014 is uncertain.

Ocean Lakes junior wide receiver Quincy Watts, a former teammate of Cutler’s, was on hand as well. This is at least the second Virginia game this season for Watts, a speedy prospect who has received a scholarship offer from the Cavaliers.

A pair of Pennsylvania linemen — Ryan Bischoff, a 6’5″, 280-pound offensive line prospect out of Plymouth Whitemarsh (Plymouth Meeting, PA), and Lancaster Catholic (Lancaster, PA) offensive/defensive lineman Keegan Sheedy — and Denzell Williams, a 6’1″, 190-pound defensive back/wide receiver out of Dinwiddie (VA), are class of 2015 prospects that were in attendance. As far as we know, none of the three has an offer from Virginia just yet.

Sheedy attended a Virginia camp this past summer, while Williams likely was at UVa’s 7-on-7 tournament along with his Generals teammates.

Timothy Glass, a sophomore safety/wide receiver out of George Washington (Danville, VA), was in Charlottesville on Saturday as well. The 6’1″, 190-pound prospect is on the radar of several schools but has no offers just yet.
