FUMA OL Commits, Will Enroll In January

Following a whirlwind week that consisted of official visits to four schools, offensive guard prospect Jake Fieler announced that he will attend the University of Virginia. Fieler, a class of 2013 graduate of Parkersburg South High School (Parkersburg, WV), attended Fork Union Military Academy (VA) this fall for postgraduate work.

“I liked all the schools I visited. But UVa, I loved everything about it. I couldn’t find anything wrong with it,” said Fieler, who took official visits last week to Cincinnati, ODU, Southern Miss and Virginia.

Fieler is the 14th player to commit to Virginia in the class of 2014. He is the third offensive line commit in the class, joining Steven Moss and Will Richardson, and he will join defensive lineman Andrew Brown in enrolling at UVa next month. Fieler has already gained admission and signed the necessary paperwork to enroll in January.

Fieler played offensive tackle at Parkersburg South. Once at Fork Union, the 6’4″, 295-pound prospect moved inside to guard, which is where he will begin his career in the orange and blue.
