“I like to be aggressive,” said the Ocean Lakes (Va. Beach, VA) product, one of the most coveted prospects in the state in the class of 2016. “No fear in my heart. I just ball out. If I lose a rep, I’m going to keep coming back. Keep fighting. People have always been saying, ‘People are bigger than you’ or ‘People are better than you.’ I’m like, ‘I’m going to show you.’”

Ocean Lakes head coach Chris Scott likens the 5’10”, 175-pound rising junior in one specific way to former Dolphin safety Shamarko Thomas, who went on to a successful career at Syracuse and now plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Thomas returning to his former high school recently to work out with the team.

“Those are two of the most competitive guys I’ve ever coached,” Scott said, referring to Thomas and Taylor. “Levonta maxed out at 275 on the bench and he was mad he only got that. We’re talking about a kid who is only a sophomore. Those two were out there doing 7-on-7 stuff. Levonta was right with Shamarko.”
