Blackman Quickly Accepts UVa Offer

Virginia football’s commitment run continues. Tonight, it was Glen Allen (VA) rising junior wide receiver Cole Blackman’s turn to pledge to the Cavaliers.

Blackman is the fifth commitment UVa has received within the past two weeks. He is also the second class of 2016 prospect to commit to the Hoos, joining Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA) wide receiver Joseph Reed, who gave his pledge this past Saturday.

Blackman, a 6’2”, 195-pound prospect, performed well at Virginia’s one-day camp this past Sunday and told TheSabre that he would be in contact with Cavalier wide receivers coach Marques Hagans today regarding a possible offer. Virginia obviously came through with a scholarship and was the first school to do so.

Blackman told TheSabre following camp this past Sunday that UVa was very high on his list. A major reason why is his relationship with former Cavalier wideout Billy McMullen, his personal receivers coach.

Stay tuned to TheSabre for more on this development. Highlights of UVa’s newest commitment are below.
