IMPORTANT TIME FOR BASKETBALL RECRUITING
Virginia head coach Tony Bennett lost some evaluation time this spring, when he decided to stay in Charlottesville to host class of 2014 point guard prospect Devonte Graham on an official visit. July is an opportunity to make up for the lost time, and Bennett and the rest of the Virginia staff are busy traveling the country evaluating talent.
Only one scholarship is currently available in the class of 2015. The low post is the main area of focus right now, with post prospects such as Noah Dickerson, Aaron Falzon, Alex Illikainen, Luke Maye and Samir Sehic among the targets Coach Bennett and company are evaluating.
Dickerson, a 6’8” rising senior out of Montverde Academy (FL), recently decommitted from Georgetown. Virginia has offered but appears to be a longshot at his point. 6’9” Connecticut big man Steve Enoch appears to be a long shot as well for the Hoos. Enoch told TheSabre.com at the NBPA Top 100 that UVa had entered the running for his signature.
