Three-star linebacker Dominic Sheppard revealed this morning that he will attend the University of Virginia. The 6’2”, 225-pound senior, at one point a Wisconsin commit, chose the Hoos over Arkansas and Illinois.
Sheppard joins a rock solid linebacker recruiting haul that also includes C.J. Stalker and Jahvoni Simmons, who are each rated a 4-star by at least one national recruiting outlet, as well as Lakeland Christian (Lakeland, FL) outside linebacker Eric Gallon. Naji Abdullah of Sandalwood (Jacksonville, FL) and Gladimir Paul of Northeast (Philadelphia, PA) are also potential outside linebacker/rush end prospects.
Sheppard was committed to Wisconsin until the coaching change there. He is the second former Wisconsin commit to flip to UVa in this class, joining defensive back TJ Griffin, who committed to Virginia yesterday.
