Hudson (FL) offensive line prospect Grayson Stover announced his college choice this evening, tweeting a short statement, a photo of Scott Stadium, and a message that simply read “#GOHOOS.”
Indeed, the 6’6″, 290-pound Stover has verbally committed to the University of Virginia, which now boasts 17 commitments in the class of 2016. Four of those recruits are offensive linemen, and three of the four have committed this week. Dillon Reinkensmeyer of Colorado pledged on Monday and Maryland native Stephen Spanellis committed on Tuesday of this week, joining previously committed Ben Knutson of Indiana.
Stover, who is rated a 3-star recruit by 247Sports and Rivals, chose Virginia over offers from Central Florida, Indiana, Iowa State, Maryland, Rutgers and South Florida, among others.
“After talking it over with my family and coaches I have decided to commit to the University of Virginia. I want to thank all the coaches and schools that recruited me,” Stover wrote in a message posted on Twitter.
Several of his future teammates took to Twitter to express their excitement with the Sunshine State standout’s decision.
