Unfortunately for UVA recruits Cole Blackman (WR, Mechanicsville (VA) Atlee), Jordan Mack (S, Norcross (GA) Wesleyan) and Chris Moore (DB, Ashburn (VA) Broad Run), their respective teams fell in playoff competition last week. The state title dream is alive for nine University of Virginia football recruits, with one — offensive lineman Ben Knutson — competing for a state championship on Saturday.

Here is the latest on-field results for the University of Virginia’s class of 2016.

– in a win over Northern York in the District 3, Class AAA playoffs, UVA-bound recruit Bryce Hall took the opening kickoff and raced 95 yards for a touchdown. The 6’3″, 200-pound senior would also haul in three catches for 146 yards and two scores as Harrisburg (PA) Bishop McDevitt romped, 49-21. Bishop McDevitt (11-1) will host Solanco this Friday.

– Wide receiver Hasise Dubois had five receptions for 73 yards in Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic’s 34-7 victory over Delbarton. DePaul (5-6) will face St. John Vianney (11-0) for the Non-Public, Group 3 State Championship on December 5. The title game will be held at Rutgers Stadium.

– Highlands Ranch (CO) Valor Christian Academy advanced to the 5A state semifinals with a win over Ralston Valley. Valor Christian, which is led up front by offensive line recruit Dillon Reinkensmeyer, will meet Cherry Creek, a team it defeated in the regular season.
