Star junior running back prospect Ronnie Walker visited UVA on Monday of this week. His latest trip to Charlottesville included taking in the men’s basketball game versus UNC as well as an in-depth meeting with Cavalier football coaches Robert Anae and Mark Atuaia.

The Hopewell High School (VA) product reflected on the meeting, saying, “They wanted to know all about my family. Like what does my family revolve around, if I’m the first football player in my family … things like that.”

“I like them a lot,” Walker said of Anae and Atuaia. “I like both of them a lot. I’ve built a relationship with all of their coaches.”

Walker has visited Virginia at least five times within the past year, with two trips coming in recent weeks. As the first school to offer, UVA has made the 5’11”, 190-pound prospect a priority in class of 2018 recruiting. Although Walker does not name any favorites, Virginia certainly seems to have made quality inroads at this early stage.
