UVA Football Recruiting Notes: A Positive Tweet & New Offers

Almost one year after verbally committing to NC State, Southern Nash (Bailey, N.C.) athlete Nadir Thompson announced that he was de-committing from the Wolfpack and reopening his recruitment. Duke, East Carolina, UVA, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and others were waiting in the wings with scholarship offers, ready to pursue the 5’11”, 170-pound speedster.

Thompson, a rising senior, tweeted the following about Virginia on May 14.

The tweet is obviously a positive one if your Virginia. However, it’s worth noting that 247Sports has four “Crystal Ball” predictions and they all favor Virginia Tech, although only one prediction (from an ECU Insider on 04/22) has come this year.

Thompson tweeted on April 30 that he plans to make his college commitment in late June.
