Top Virginia basketball class of 2018 point guard target Jahvon Quinerly has revealed his first official visit. The Hudson Catholic (Jersey City, N.J.) star is heading west for an official to Arizona June 24-26.

Arizona, Kansas, Seton Hall, Stanford, UCLA, Villanova and Virginia make up Quinerly’s final seven schools. As for his plans after Tucson, the 6’1”, 175-pound floor general says he wants to visit Kansas and plans on taking an official to Stanford (no date set).

First things first, Quinerly and his parents will stick around Charlottesville tomorrow following the conclusion of the NBPA Top 100 Camp. A major reason why is to spend more time with Cavalier head coach Tony Bennett and staff. Does he and/or his parents have any specific questions for Bennett and company?

“That’s something me and my parents have to go over tonight,” Quinerly said. “But we’re definitely going to come up with something.”

Bennett has kept in close contact with the prized prospect, who says the two “talk every other day.”

“He’s a great guy,” Quinerly said of Virginia’s coach. “Just to have a coach that’s played at the next level, who potentially could coach me, that’s a great feeling. Knowing they are making me a priority, that’s a great feeling.”

Quinerly and his parents will leave Charlottesville tomorrow. As of now there are no plans to return to UVA, but he says he’ll “probably figure that out” after Sunday’s experience. Quinerly previously visited Virginia unofficially around the same time last year, following the 2016 NBPA Top 100 Camp.
