Virginia Gets Commitment From New Jersey Lineman Emmett McNamara

Chalk up another class of 2018 commitment for the Virginia football program. The latest pledge is from Red Bank Catholic (N.J.) defensive lineman Emmett McNamara, a 6’6″, 245-pound prospect.

McNamara, who becomes Virginia’s 18th rising high school senior commitment, chose the Hoos over offers from Buffalo, Central Florida, Temple and Western Michigan. An intriguing prospect, McNamara only has played only one season (his junior year) of high school football. He is also a multi-sport athlete, playing basketball and volleyball in addition to football according to this report from NJ.com.

Highlights of the Cavaliers’ newest pledge are below, followed by an updated 2018 Class commitment list. Stay tuned to TheSabre.com for more on this commitment soon.
