The United States Basketball Writers Association has named Virginia basketball head coach Tony Bennett the 2018 Henry Iba National Coach of the Year.

This is the third time Coach Bennett has received this award. He has done so twice with UVA in the past four seasons and with Washington State in 2006/2007. Only the Wizard of Westwood, John Wooden, has received the honor more. The legendary UCLA head coach earned the award six times.

Coach Bennett will receive the award at the College Basketball Awards dinner on April 9 at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis, Missouri.
