Virginia Football Offers Three New Class Of 2019 Prospects

Virginia has become the second school to offer a scholarship to Bowie (Arlington, TX) class of 2019 offensive line prospect Thalen Robinson. The 6’6”, 315-pound rising senior tweeted the news, which comes less than a month after he received his first offer from Missouri.

See below for Hudl.com’s highlight package of Robinson, who was an Honorable Mention District 4-6A All District pick last season as a junior.

Robinson wasn’t the only class of 2019 prospect to tweet that they had received a Virginia scholarship offer on Tuesday. Southwest DeKalb (Decatur, GA) running back/safety Jamel Starks and Wayne Hills (Wayne, N.J.) wide receiver Charles Njoku did as well.

Starks, a 5’11”, 180-pound rising senior, has enjoyed a nice run in May with scholarship offers from UNC, NC State, Nebraska, Virginia and Temple. Central Florida, East Carolina and Maryland headlined the scholarships he had received previously.

Njoku, who brings a 6’4”, 200-pound frame to the wide receiver position, boasts offers from three more ACC programs (Boston College, Syracuse and Wake Forest) as well as Rutgers, Cincinnati and Purdue.

  1. Drafting note to Chris Horne: North Carolina and UNC might be the same institution when it comes to Starks’ offers.
