Per Jami Frankenberry of the Daily Press and The Virginian-Pilot, Coleman averaged 9.2 points, 6 assists and 2 steals on his way to earning Class 5 second-team all-region A and second-team all-Eastern district honors as a senior.

An honorable mention all-Tidewater and first-team all-region selection in 2017-18, Coleman averaged 8 points, 7 assists and 2 steals per game his junior season.
