OL Commit Ty Furnish A “Throwback” Player From A Top High School Football Program

The 6’4” Furnish ascended to the Titans varsity football squad as a sophomore in 2018, beating out upperclassmen to earn a starting role on the offensive line despite playing at around 215 pounds. He started 15 games on a dominant Blessed Trinity squad that enjoyed a perfect season and won 13 of the 15 games by double-digits. Playing at around 250 pounds, Furnish started all 15 games on the offensive line this past season as a junior, helping the Titans to a 14-1 record and a third straight state title.

McFarlin likes to have his offensive linemen play only on the offensive line. However, entering last year’s playoffs, he needed to expand Furnish’s role. The future Hoo responded.
