Decision Date Set For Virginia Football Offensive Line Target Brody Meadows

Arizona State, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Liberty, Michigan State, Old Dominion, Purdue, Virginia, and West Virginia are among the schools that extended scholarship offers to offense lineman prospect Brody Meadows. The Graham (Bluefield, VA) rising senior has decided it is time to make his college decision, though, and he plans to do so this Friday, June 25.

Meadows’ decision comes on the heels of an official visit he made to the University of Virginia. The 6’7”, 300-pound prospect was offered a scholarship by UVA coaches in September of 2018. He has visited UVA numerous times, but he says last weekend provided a chance to “get a better feel to see if it would be a good fit for me.”

How was the official visit experience in Charlottesville?

“It was great,” Meadows answered in an interview over Twitter direct message. “[UVA is] a family-oriented team with strong work ethic and development. Academics are just as important as athletics! The coaches strongly encourage their players to not only be great athletes but to be good men with good morals and upstanding character. These things are all very important to me. While I love football, academics also play a very important role in continuing my education for life after football. I also was very impressed by the coaching staff’s motto that everything is earned not given. The bar is always raised for the players’ development to continuously become better.”
