Best Seat In The House: Sabre Editor Kris Wright

April and May have become busy and critical months for college basketball programs. That’s because the transfer portal recruiting season hits its fever pitch in those 61 days. It serves as the first steps of the long offseason for Virginia and others.

While the Hoos continue to work on their roster with Reece Beekman and Ryan Dunn off to the NBA Draft and Dante Harris and Leon Bond III entering their names into the portal, the offseason picture right now is fuzzy. On the heels of a 23-11 season and the NCAA Tournament First Four loss, that’s enough to generate a lot of conversation. That included the Revisiting Preseason Questions series here on The Sabre and evaluating what areas should be a focus in the months ahead.

Sabre Editor Kris Wright joined The Best Seat in the House to talk about the current roster, areas where Virginia could improve, and what’s ahead for the program.
