Two Judson High School Standouts, Commit Wyatt Rector Visiting Virginia This Weekend

USA Today’s Super 25, a weekly ranking of the top 25 high school football teams in the nation, has Judson High School at no. 19. Two seniors from the Converse, Texas school are expected to make official visits to Virginia this weekend.

Darren Brown, who measures in at 6’4”, 290 pounds, is a defensive line target. He currently holds offers from UVA and Tulane. Chris Mills, a 6’0”, 185-pound cornerback, reportedly has scholarship offers from Arizona, BYU, Houston, Virginia and others.

Virginia has already received commitments from seniors on two Super 25 programs, including receiver/returner Tavares Kelly of no. 14 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) and cornerback DJ Brown of no. 24 St. John’s College (Washington, D.C.). The Hoos currently have 18 verbal commitments in total in the class of 2018.

One of UVA’s class of 2018 commits, quarterback Wyatt Rector, tweeted that he will be among those joining Brown and Mills in Charlottesville on Saturday. The 6’3”, 215-pound senior should be in good spirits after leading Leesburg (FL) to a 71-35 win over Tavares last night. He turned in an outstanding performance, completing 18-of-31 passes for 291 yards and four touchdowns. Rector also rushed for 68 yards and three more scores.

On the basketball front, head coach Tony Bennett and the Virginia Cavalier basketball program are hosting Taft (Woodland Hills, CA) senior point guard Kihei Clark on an official visit. Clark verbally committed to the Cavaliers earlier this week and is seeing the Grounds for the first time ever.
