The Virginia football team welcomed Old Dominion to Scott Stadium for the first time on Saturday night and the Monarchs were ready to play in their debut outing against the Hoos. ODU jumped out to a 17-0 lead before UVA clawed its way back into the game and eventually pulled out a 28-17 win. Linebacker Zane Zandier started the rally with an interception return for touchdown and safety Joey Blount set up the go-ahead score with a stop on fourth down.
