The Virginia football team battled to the final whistle in the Orange Bowl, but No. 9 Florida edged out No. 24 UVA, 36-28. For the Cavaliers, however, the New Year’s Six Bowl appearance capped a 9-win season that showed continued growth for the program under coach Bronco Mendenhall.
