Best Seat In The House: Kris Wright

The Virginia football team started off the season on a good note with a 34-13 win against Richmond. To get to the winner’s circle, the Hoos jumped out to a quick 20-0 lead, waited out a long weather delay, and then hit the gas again after the break. UVA’s offense came up with multiple explosive plays, while the defense only allowed one touchdown drive.

That sets the stage for the ACC opener Saturday night as UVA travels to Wake Forest for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The Demon Deacons offer a unique offensive style that will require discipline from the defense. Meanwhile, the Wahoos’ offense will deal with an experienced group on the other side as the team tries to begin league play with a win for the first time since 2020.

Sabre Editor Kris Wright joined The Best Seat in the House to talk about some details from the season-opening victory as well as the matchup with Wake.
