You know football season is getting closer when the annual ACC Kickoff event takes place in Charlotte. The league held its two-day event this week with Atlantic teams in the spotlight on Wednesday and the Coastal teams, including Virginia, taking their turn on Thursday.

As referenced in this Sabre article, the Cavaliers are not shying away from growing expectations for the program. UVA fans can watch the full media session with coach Bronco Mendenhall, Bryce Perkins, and Bryce Hall in the video from Virginia Sports TV (Virginia athletics) below.

After a season with 8 wins and a bowl victory for the first time since 2005, plus some of talented players back for another year, it’s easy to see why Hoo fans would be counting down the days until kickoff. It’s approximately six weeks before the opener at Pittsburgh after all!

With that as the backdrop, it’s time for Fan Friday. Let’s go!

For the post of the week, poster hooman#1 started up a conversation that tried to tackle who the “most improved,” the “best,” and the “most critical” units would be for the football team. That post is below and you can read the whole thread here.

Poster W-S Hoo started a thread on the basketball board with a question and it drew several interesting posts, which you can see below. The whole thread is here.

Question Of The Week

Poster Sabre Rattler posted an interesting question on the football board. With the new redshirt rule in place, the question: “Who plays more than four games from this year’s first-year class?” As a reminder, the new rule is that players can play up to four games and still preserve a redshirt year. Poster Sabre Rattler went with one of Jowon Briggs and Ben Smiley III, one of Dorien Goddard, and Seneca Milledge. Read the whole thread here for other thoughts.
