TheSabre.com’s Fan Friday: National Titles And Basketball Plates

A pair of Virginia basketball fan favorites that embraced the 5 Pillars and the defense that provide a big part of UVA’s identity made some pro basketball news this week. Both Isaiah Wilkins and Jack Salt picked up good news with teams overseas.

Wilkins played last season with New Zealand’s Canterbury Rams and he was named their Defensive MVP. UVA celebrated the news on Twitter:

Salt, meanwhile, signed his first pro contract this week. He’s headed to Poland to play for Trefl-Sopot. The club welcomed him on Twitter:

UVA, after adding two more this season, now has 27 team titles and it’s been a long time since any graduating class didn’t see at least one while in Charlottesville!
