TheSabre.com Fan Friday: Football Stretch Run Up Next

After shaking off a four-game losing streak with back-to-back wins, the Virginia football team is gearing up for the stretch run. With four scheduled games remaining, the Hoos host Abilene Christian on Saturday with a chance to even their record at 4-4 before returning to league play against Florida State, Boston College, and Virginia Tech.

Some UVA fans have been calling it “mission 7-4” on the message boards and team members alluded to trying to win every game the rest of the way as well. Poster HTrain90 started a thread this week that focused on how the rest of the schedule sets up here. Many of the responses within that thread seemed to see Boston College and Virginia Tech as the two toughest games left, while the FSU tilt may be the easiest league game remaining.

That’s a perfect poll question:

Which ACC Opponent Is The Toughest Remaining Game?

  • Virginia Tech (56%, 46 Votes)
  • Boston College (40%, 33 Votes)
  • Florida State (4%, 3 Votes)

Total Voters: 82

As for the game with ACU this weekend, the Wahoos are heavy favorites and fan worries center more on focus than concerns about losing. There are threads here, here, and here discussing the matchup and predicting scores.

With that in mind, let’s get to the rest of TheSabre.com’s Fan Friday feature.
