A surging football team has given a jolt to the Virginia fan base this week. The Cavaliers have ripped off three straight wins, including a 48-0 demolition of Duke last week. That’s pushed UVA to 5-2 on the season and to edge of bowl eligibility,
With Family Weekend here this weekend, there’s also a sense of excitement building for the Saturday night game against Georgia Tech. The Hoos kick off at Scott Stadium at 7:30 p.m. and they could have a bowl spot reserved by the end of the night.
Throw in some recruiting chatter and it’s been an interesting message board week for football fans. Here are some threads to check out:
- The word on street is lower bowl is basically sold out for Saturday …
- What if I told you that Virginia leads the nation in big plays?
- My surprising stat of the day. UVA ranks 16th nationally in red zone TD% D.
- Best UVA OL player of all-time?
- Maybe the most cogent post about UVA football recruiting ever.
- Back to out-recruiting Toledo & Army.
- I’m going to harken back to a recruiting story from 1998 on this board.
With the football energy building, let’s look at the rest of the Fan Friday feature!
