The 2023 NFL Draft kicked off on Thursday night in Kansas City. Before teams made any selections, however, the event honored and celebrated the lives of Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr., and D’Sean Perry by holding a ceremonial draft presentation.
The three former football players lost their lives in a tragic shooting last November.
The full presentation, guided by UVA alumni Melissa Stark and D’Brickashaw Ferguson before NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell presented the families with jerseys, can be viewed via Virginia Sports TV below.
