The pinky is a stabilizer in a quarterback's motion.
People are really underestimating how much zip and accuracy losing your pinky (with a torn ligament) takes off the ball.
The pinky is a stabilizer in a quarterback's motion. And when you consider how many times Bryce's thrown with his pinky as part of his motion, that's not something you can easily overcome when you lose it.
The first interception throwing back across his body against a fast secondary wasn't smart, but the other two intercepts looked pinky-influenced.
I appreciate that Bryce kept his poise for the duration of the game. Anae probably needs to keep the throws short and quick to keep the receiver's body as a shield between the defender and the ball. Otherwise, we may be putting a lot of 50/50 balls out there against a fast secondary.
