I was just hoping you werent going to say ARod or something off the wall like that. I still put Chipper 1st, as he was a switch hitter and had the higher average and had a better ability to get on base than Schmidt as Chipper had a higher OBP and OPS than Schmidt. I think we can see from new metrics that power is not always the best thing, but would not knock Schmidt out of my top 2-3 and I recognize that Schmidt had a better WAR, although in seasons where it was needed, Chipper seems to be better. By the way, how many times did Schmidt rescue a teammate from an ice storm on his 4-wheeler? That's gotta count for something right?? That is clearly a 1-0 tally and has to make Chipper the best ever right???
