I have to disagree with a couple of points.

1) I don't think we need a massive amount of depth to play his system since we don't play for 4 and 5 games in quick succession.

2) The US can play out of the back against anyone as it's really not that difficult when it's practiced consistently and the patterns are established. Getting it back against the top teams will always be an issue. That's why they are the top teams.

3) Possession will work on crap fields as long as there's a high press that goes along with it. Having them chase for long periods of time will tire them out and then they will make mistakes. The key is to keep the ball in their half.

4) Berhalter has actually done a really good job with forwards. I think Sargent will end up taking over for Wood before the next world cup. I still don't think we have enough talent around a center forward which will hinder us in the final third.

For me, his style is much different then what Klinnsman wanted to do. Jurgen wanted this free flowing full-blown attacking style while keeping the ball for 70% of the game. That was never going to work here. Berhalter will want to keep it but wont be over committing numbers forward. It's going to be a very strict 4-2-3-1 where the front 4 will attack in and around the box with outside backs forward but probably not losing their defensive shape. I think he will make us difficult to break down so we will see a lot of 1-0 games.

I'm not sure if he's going to be successful and frankly I think the US shit the bed with how they handled this hire but I do think there's is going to be a dedicated system and style of play that the DA system has used for years. We are going to finally see if we've done a good enough good with that program. Twellmam said a couple of days ago that he has sources saying there will be 20 Pulisic's in Europe by the end of 2020. I don't think he means that high level of play but more like young, attack minded players that could development very quickly.
