He played a 1100 games in the field and 1600 as DH.


Yes, he played a ton of DH, but he was a good fielder until his knees gave out starting in 1986. It's a shame.

Is he a borderline HOFer yeah. However, he meant so much to the ChiSox franchise, it kind of overlooks his career as a compiler. He's kind of like the Ron Santo for the White Sox.

Harold Baines was the most popular ChiSox since Luis Aparicio. He revived that franchise in Chicago.
