The ACC #1 would be fugly. Georgia, LSU and Florida would all beat the hell out of any ACC team not named Clemson, IMHO. If you could just skip the SEC 2/3/4 and get into the next SEC tier of 3 with TAMU, Kentucky and Auburn against the ACC #2 through #4, it might be more competitive. Keep in mind, TAMU just beat the crap out of NC State (who'd likely be among the ACC 2/3/4) and Kentucky and Auburn both won their bowls (the Tigers in a rout).

The teams behind Clemson in the ACC have a lot of improving to do before they'd be on par with their "mirror" in the SEC.
