Just spent 4 days in ATL in a couple of Hyatt hotels which were reasonable

Check out the Hyatt Centric in Midtown pretty new construction (indoor salt pool), and the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. Both are within easy reach of most sites up and down peach tree, including the aquarium by Uber or Marta. Both of those neighborhoods are a little more friendly particularly at night for dining options, though with kids, you might be in and done not too late anyway. I paid around 100-120 bucks a night, and it seemed most decent hotels in ATL were around that price. Uber is very common there and frankly, when you have a car, the parking at hotels is a big chunk of your expenses. You definitely don't need a car. Even the ride from the Airport to Midtown was only around $20 with Uber.
