A ton of my neighbors have done/are doing Keto or IF


with great success. Many have lost 20-45 pounds on Keto, but most are in the 5-10 range you're looking at. Everyone is in the 30-50 year old range and none you would call obese at the start. Some you would call overweight (the guy that lost like 45 pounds was like 225 and 5'8, now he's a healthy looking 180). The IFF people were all more on the healthier end already and just looking to clear those last few pounds and did.

I think if it's just 5 pounds you're looking to lose, any positive change in diet will get you there, especially cutting out carbs and booze for a few weeks. I did Keto for 2 weeks a few months ago and lost 5 pounds very easily. A lot of that was probably water weight from cutting out salts and drinking, but I think with a couple more weeks, it would have been a real 5 pounds.

Basically just ate a couple eggs and ham for breakfast, a decent lunch w/ carbs and then a protein dinner with vegetables. I cheated once or twice a week with no major consequence.
