Still trying to build trust among her players but last night helped.

Would love to know the players' perspective of playing for CTT. I think for each one of them it would be different. CTT and Toussaint seem to have a pretty good relationship, often joking with each other. Not sure about how she and Willoughby interact. Willoughby is so serious and hardly ever smiles. Seems to be a little bit of an edge between the two. Again just my opinion from limited observations of the two during meet and greets and games I have attended. Willoughby seemed to be playing in a lot of pain last night. Came to the bench at one point and went directly to the trainer. She was in tears and clearly in pain but got no treatment, rested for a while and then returned to the game. Saw her wincing with contact several times during the game. Might have been cramping up.

I think some of the players are still a little uneasy around CTT and find her expectations pretty demanding. She can be pretty intimidating. Watch some of her post-game interviews. She doesn't suffer fools lightly. Think they are still trying to feel her out and earn her approval. Her personality and coaching style are so different from Boyle's. I think she truly cares about her players and believes in them more than they believe in themselves at times.

I have been really impressed with how she has already developed players on this team due to having such a short roster. Mone Jones is getting better and better each game. She has ACC-level talent that hasn't been developed due to injuries until this year. Jablonski is playing up to her potential for the first time. Did you see that steal and breakaway layup last night? Tinsley has been forced out her comfort zone and played lights out last night. Payne gave them quality minutes although she didn't play much. She played good defense and rebounded well. Seemed more confident on the floor than I have seen before. Fe has been set-back by her injury and needs more upper body strength before she's going to be able to reach her potential. Caldwell is just a warrior. Martinsen hasn't figured out that she needs to be more than a three-point shooter on the court. If her shot is off (as it was last night) she is a liability because she plays inconsistent defense. She's young, she'll learn.

I am really encouraged by the progress this team has made since the beginning of the year. They are just a few missed baskets and a dose of confidence from being 3-0 in the ACC. A few weeks ago, I didn't have high hope that they would win a single ACC game. Hope they can continue building on the momentum from last night's win.
