Tinsley's game gets better as her confidence grows

I thought she might struggle at UVA since she had played high level competition in high school and am not sure she thought she could play at the ACC-level. I thought she showed improvement over the course of last year but started slow this year with the new coach and change in style of play. Think she thought she would be sharing at lot of playing time with Toi.

She's doing a much better job of looking for her shot. She's willing to drive to the basket thru contact and take a three pointer when open. She is an excellent free throw shooter. She is not a take charge point guard (yet) and think is more comfortable being a role player than a leader. Due to the short roster, she's been forced into a more prominent role and although not seeming comfortable in it, she is stepping up. She is in third place for assists on the team (Toussaint has 57, Willoughby 32, and Tinsley 31). Of those three, Tinsley has the second best assist to turnover ration at about 75%; Toussaint's is close to 95% and Willoughby's is a little over 60%. UVA has only had one game where they had more assists than turnovers and that was against St Louis. In the FSU game, they had 12 assists and 12 turnovers. In the VT game, they had 9 turnovers to 5 assists. Against Clemson they had 24 turnovers to 14 assists.

I think she can be as good as she wants to be.
