That's a defensible point, I guess. It is certainly a beautiful, soulful rendition, and I've always liked that he made it an instrumental.

If it's about their respective catalogs, though, I don't think it's even all that close. Stevie approaches Jimi's electric blues playing in terms of technical proficiency, but Jimi had so many more arrows in his quiver.
