Went very well at WWJC, well attended and good questions at the end - how
did Jefferson's father get land patents for the Albemarle County land? etc.
Tomorrow is Lecture 2 on Jefferson's public writings (Summary View of the Rights of British America, Declaration of American Independence, separation of church and state through his Virginia Statute of Religious Freedom, his personal comparative Bible (extracts of the New Testament in 4 languages) and his only published book "Notes on the State of Virginia."
Next week is all about some of his 19,000 private letters, especially those written to his daughters, nephews, and John Adams.
10:30 am each Friday at WWJC Gathering Hall if you can make it, J.
