Three seasons in and I'm still figuring out how I feel about Anae.

On a basic level he's made the QB position at UVA relevant again. The era from Hagans to Benkert were some dark, dark times, and Anae was (usually) able to move the ball, at least more than he should have with the personnel we had. OL was in plain awful shape in '16 and '17, for example. Anae schemed to what we had to work with, generally limited turnovers, and we improved. He even changed the offense completely for a drop-back QB versus the dual-threat offense.

But, he's laid some eggs that are impossible to ignore. The play calling last November in Cow Town sticks out, as do the games against Tech and Navy at the end of '17. We were unforgivably feckless. But, the same guy drew up schemes to dismantle S.Carolina and at Boise St., so the talent is there.
